Alien Man Art Institute

Concept

AM is about the acceptance of BEING.

AM Art Institute is a home for the Doc, encouraging health, growth, understanding and appreciation of the beauty of all that is.

AM also stems from a Holistic Multidimensional Art Project called the Alien Man Project (hence 'AM' through 'Alien Man'). As the Doc documents life, the journals become the journey of Alien Man.

Through the observation of the Doc, Alien Man has the ability to see into the multi-dimensional inner-inter-worlds of art and life through his ultra-sensitive protruding antennae-like eyeballs.

Alien Man

Alien Man travels the uni-multi-verse, his home, in a state of wonderment and discovery. It is this experience, which forms the Alien Man Documented Spiritual Journey Guide Book.

Book One: The Beginning. This is what is what is called the 'Transformation' or Original Creation of Alien Man. In this story, we enter through the doorway(s) of the transformation chamber which resides in the Doc's laboratory. The transformation chamber reveals one's natural state, represented through this archetypal being, here called Alien Man.

Version One of Book One is a comic book in which each panel takes up one page, so as to feel in this way that the viewer is stepping into this creative world. The next necessary step currently in progress, is the creation of a revised edition featuring smaller panels and more possibilities.

The phenomenon of Alien Man is both personal and universal.

My name is Etienne (E.T.ienne) and I also go by E.T., therefore one may call me Alien Man. 

The infinite universal experience is seen through the eyes of Alien Man.

Alien Man Project is an expression of natural creativity. It is simply a metaphor or inner-inter-relational story which reflects and transmits the creative (and artistic) experience. This reflection and transmission serves as a beacon and a channel for all who come into contact, to bask in (their innate) creativity.

The Alien Man Project is a work in progress which includes media of comic book, video, sculpture, music, literature, poetry, events, etc. Any and all art media which shows itself is acceptable.

Education

Etienne Buxton has a BAA Interpretive Illustration Degree and Art Fundamentals Certificate from Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, Oakville.
